I'd like to thank Steve Fletcher, my Century 21 realtor, for making my recent home buying experience a worry free, positive experience. My move was the result of a corporate transfer. Since I was living in California, I didn't have the luxury of a leisurely house hunting effort. It was important to me to quickly find the right house and make the purchase in the most expedient and trouble free manner possible. Steve did a fantastic job in meeting my house purchasing goals.

My number one requirement for the new home was that it had to have excellent resale potential within a 3 to 5 year time frame since my company was anticipating moving me back to California in late 2005. After starting from a list of features I provided, he arranged to show me a spectrum of those homes with the features I wanted, from the low end of my budget to the high end, both older and newer. This gave me an idea of the traits and characteristics of Fort Worth area real-estate and neighborhoods. From there, we narrowed the scope of the search to a few neighborhoods and prices with the features that I was most interested in. As we looked through potential properties, he highlighted features that would accent the resale potential as well as pointing out high maintenance items and features that could detract from resale potential.

Within 4 days, I'd found the "perfect" house for me. That was the good news. The bad news that it was listed at a price above my budget target. Steve, went into high gear and displayed his exceptional negotiating skills. Within a day, he negotiated a purchase deal that left smiles on the faces of me and the sellers. But the service didn't stop there. He walked me through the mortgage process, dealt with the title company and arranged for inspections. Steve also went out of his way to help me with other things that were difficult for me since I was still living 1900 miles away. Little things like the phone numbers for the utilities and helping to contact a yard maintenance service while I was away getting moved, where to shop, location of the post office, even recommending someone to help with fitting my oversize refrigerator into the built-in cabinets ...all those little things that make the home purchase and move smooth and stress free.

So thanks again to Steve. His advice, based on his knowledge of the Fort Worth area real-estate, was insightful and greatly helped in picking the right home for me. I'll be sure to recommend him to my colleges who will be following me to Texas in the coming months.
